Access: From Eastern Wastes, reach the door to Outer Kael at -250, -278, 4,475. Outer Kael has no aggro mobs and zones in your group but is a public hub zone for all of Kael Drakkel. The shard quests support Ry'Gorr Faction. Quests for the specific zones are directly outside their zone in point.

Insignia ring HQ series - from Beta.

Copper Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #1)
1. Examine an ice-encased corpse on the Ring War Battlefield in Great Divide to get the quest.
2. Kill the dervish 5 times, examine the corpse again to complete the quest.

Examine "Copper Coldain Insignia Ring" in your inventory to begin the next quest.

Silver Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #2)
1. Talk to Elder Historian Melna in the Temple of Brell inside Thurgadin, City of the Coldain.
2. Retrieve the Tome of Coldain Kinship in Nektropos Castle's library on a shelf in the middle of the library. Return to Melna. (for Nek Castle Library access, see: Nektropos Castle guide)
3. Find Malidain Glacierbane, who is at the end of the river on the Daggerflow Glacier. Quest completes with him.

Gold Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #3)
1. Collect cougar and kodiak pelts. These are from mobs in Eastern Wastes called sabertooths and direbears, all found around Dragon's Head Drifts.
2. Scribe the blanket recipe (artisan lvl 2 required), get 1 glowing filament and craft the blanket on a sewing table.
3. Lay the blanket on the ice-encased corpse on the battlefield. Return to Malidain to complete the quest.

Platinum Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #4)
1. Look for Mordain Glacierbane in Tower of Frozen Shadow: Shadowed Corridors
2. Mordain is on the 1st floor. You can use a pre-cleared instance. Get the update and return to Malidain.


Obsidian Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #5)
1. Get a pristine rhino horn - the Bronotherium Patriarch in Great Divide (ring war area?) will update this step (heroic encounter)
2. Get 3 petrified treant twigs - Dropped by Petrified Ancients in Forgotten Pools
3. Get 5 sharpening rocks - ground spawns in the Velinoid Caves in Eastern Wastes
4. Scribe the Coldain Chipper recipe (level 2 artisan required) and get 1 glowing sandpaper and craft the chipper on a woodworking table. Return to Malidain.

Mithril Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #6)
1. Take the chipper you made to the Ring War Battlefield.
2. There are six ice egg-like objects you can interact with. Click one and you'll have to kill a level 90^^^ giant. "At 10% or so he starts aoe'ing and power draining so plan group accordingly." Do this 6 times to the same egg.
3. Return to Malidain, who completes the quest and moves to Thurgadin, in Icewell Keep

Adamantium Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #7)
1. Find Scout Luta in Great Divide at /way -52, -103, 976
2. Kill a heroic group encounter
3. Return the ring to Malidain in Thurgadin (Icewell Keep)

Velium Coldain Insignia Ring (Ring #8 )
1. Speak to Beladain in Thurgadin, who is in Icewell Keep next to the Dain
2. Go to Storm Gorge and kill 20 calvalry and 1 calvalry leader in the Battle of Storm Gorge public quest
3. Return to Malidain in Thurgadin.

BTW Copying Posts from the BETA forums is still under the NDA.... Not sure how the flames admins will look at that.
