This is how much I fail, i'll admit that was a troll. I had no idea the starship troopers book was written in the 60's. I thought if there was any stealing, it went the other way.
It's only weird if it doesn't work.
Yeah when I was in the army most of my officers had read the book, and cited that it was 100x better than the movie.
I don't see how. The coed shower scene made it automatically 100X better than any book could ever be.
It's only weird if it doesn't work.
I would go back and do marine boot camp over again if they had co-ed showers. The biggest disappointment of starship troopers is that denise richards wasn't in boot camp with them.
In regards to the book vs movie. Book was much better, way more political based, and the shit that the marines had in the book was what they should have done in the movie, because it was fucking 1000X more awesome.
lol. This probably happens from time to time I suppose, the super secret reverse troll. I won't rant about how good or bad the movie was (coed shower scenes aside) but I will say this. The term Mobile Infantry didn't apply to the movie as they weren't any more mobile then current infantry. Heinlein's MI had futuristic powered armor that gave them greater mobility than a modern day tank while allowing them to carry a ridiculous amount of fire power which is why they were Mobile Infantry, why they choose to leave it out blows my mind.
Less shitty outerspace video game and book talk, more thuglord. kkthx.
Exactly this. This was what I was talking about in my post saying that in the book they had shit that was 1000x cooler. The powered armor was why they were called "apes". Also denise richards would have had a shaved head if they followed the book, which I would have liked to see tbh (although seeing other parts of her shaved would obv have been better)
