how do these 2 comments matter at all, you obviously do not understand this mob if you are basing the entire encounter off of luck. its plain and simple. the mob is a definate tactic based encounter.

We've killed this mob with far less than a full raid on multiple occasions, my guess is that we were just lucky right....

We've had all of (two (2)) the AE's hit at the same time as touch and had our tank live through it on multiple occasions on this mob and on C.Mayong, there is nothing involving luck in this, it's up to you tank and healers to use the tools they have at their disposal to make sure your tank lives.

If you are talking about Soul Paralysis it is perfectly avoidable for everyone but one (1) person, the tank. I don't know what you are talking about when you say that it is unavoidable.

I'm going to re-iterate this, there is NOTHING about this encounter that is based on luck, nothing.
So you are implying that we are always lucky when we go there week after week and kill it without issues, along with countless of other guilds doing the same.

That is a quite bold statement, to say the least.

From what I've gathered:

1) You need someone to drop group and pull mayong and die, meanwhile pulling 2-3 of the x2's until they are all dead. 10? of them don't repop, but the rest do.
2) The ones that repop will do so after 20? minutes or so, so if you dont kill Mayong by then the x2 repops will add.
3) If you wipe on Mayong, you will have to start over.
4) The adds frequently repop with veritical position problems, so you'll unexpectedly wipe just because you can't see the damn mob and he will cause a wipe.

Any of this wrong? Hard to practice on him since its such a timesink when you have a bad pull and golems add from a mistake.

Pull to entrance or fight at the throne? Or either one?

From my experience they only appear as graphics bugs, the vampires are actually in the correct spot but are often bugged for quite a few people. However we have never had them bugged to everyone, there is always someone that can give you a target.

The zone really is that simple, there's no luck involved to that encounter.

Hmm, lots of little things.

First, his pathing is the pits, he'll pop through floor, sometimes sticks in the floor making targeting a delight.

Second, if everyone is not attentive the knockback can launch toons into the back room. Would be nice to make it easier.

Third, while its possible to get everyone out of the AOE, it would be nice if we could pull to a spot where there is a bit more room.

Note that none of this makes him impossible to kill...was just asking if the back room might be better.

Time Sancturies, use Cure pots, hell even use marchant signet if really needed... Not really Rocket Science tbh!
