Why would mayong have a timed call for his adds, why would he have aa knockback and respawning golems?

I think the intention of this poorly coded encounter was to fight mayong in the center, dodgign the golems w the knockback, and killing the timed x2's as they arrive.

If they really wanted to pull mayong solo to the back or front of the zone they could of left him in his original state and have the x2's break before they reach the raid.

I still think this encounter and zone to a degree should be changed to make it at least less a pain and annoying.
There is no room to kill Mayong in the center after the last change.

They are pretty much spelling it out. It's a very small tactic change. Well, really, I don't even know that you call it a "tactic" so much as adjusting and being more careful.

Last night was a bummer because the Interlopers kept respawning instantly after we killed them. So we just zoned out.

Just make the x2 vamps inactive tell Mayong calls them. Not sure if that make it harder or easier but at least you'd be forced to deal with the adds while killing Mayong.

I have to agree here, while we haven't killed Mayong yet we know the basic strat to pulling him. There's no way that it was intended to have someone drop raid and continuosly get himself killed in order to fight Mayong. And if thats how it was intended, then SOE is fucking retarded

Fix Z-Axis bugs and I'm sure people would probably just kill adds as they come up stairs.

True. But, I would rather just pull it to the front against the door without them. lol Make the mobs reset etc. OT an add if you aren't fast enough or w/e. Just kind of sucked cause usually after we cleared the entire room you can go from that point. When mobs instantly repop without any timer that is messed up. Anyway, I think enough people have given enough information out to give away this encounter in this thread anyway. Execution of it is the key to the success anyway. Thanks tho.

Pinski hit the nail on the head here, fighting the adds with mayong wouldn't be bad if they didn't go under the world or agro golems as they ran by. Frankly it was just PPP (piss poor planning) by whoever designed the encounter on where to fight mayong.

You have the back room which adds piss off golems as they run through.
The throne where the adds go under the world and either bring golem friends or kill 1-2 people before being able to target. Or the Ledges off the staircases where you run into the same problem as throne.

Honestly this encounter still needs dev attention, some sort of response would probably be well appreciated, rather than just reading our posts and making guesses as to what to change.

honestly, with it being under 2 months till ROK, fuck this zone, people are killing Mayong, maybe not the way intended, but fuck it... Take the time you would spend on fixing this shit of an encounter and shit of a zone, and use it on the new raid zones coming out with ROK, that way we won't have this kind of thread when the xpac comes out with new raid content...
