"new" DFC?

Ok, so when I was tryin to get some AA's for my necro, I heard that DFC was giving good disco exp, and had lots of disco to be had. So I head over there alone and I'm doin good, discoing all the rooms downstairs before heading up to the top. Once I hit the top... WTF! I get hit by an arrow for 900 damage. This followed shortly by another for 800, then one for over 1k! I cower in a corner where I'm no longer getting hit, and I pop invis on. Poke my head out of the corner, get hit again for another 700 (invis didn't break!). Go into hiding again. Now I know that the top of the ramparts have disco too, so I decide I'm going to suicide run my way around it. I made it about halfway before the hail of arrows had me in the orange. I feign, hoping to regen health to continue the run.

No go! The arrows CONTINUE to hit me as I'm feigned, never breaking the feign! It eventually kills me....

So yeah, this was a couple of weeks ago. Is this still going on? WTF is up with level 40ish mobs being able to hit me for 700-1k a pop?! And without fail, no amount of avoidance does anything. And they can hit through feign?! Ignore me if this has been fixed, I'm at work and not in game, and I was going to run through DFC tonight to disco on my illusy lol!

I have seen something similiar in BB as you pass the bridge over the chasm near Kaladim. If the bugbears are up there is a lvl17 archer that can tag ya for 500 as yer running by. Kinda silly.

same thing was happening on my coercer when I went in for my statue, had to go gank em on the ramparts before they took me out.

Just send your pet after the archer. The archer will stop shooting you, and even my level 40ish Illusionist pet soloed it easily.

They do % damage I believe, not straight damage. I wonder if they can be charmed...

The archers will attack you even if grey, and continue until they are dead. Also if you go in the front door, prepare to be assaulted by several waves of heroic grey con orcs, that will kill you just as easily as the archers.

I hit this zone for location AA xp several weeks ago, had to duck into the side rooms on the first level to kill the wave adds, after a few they stop, I was then so annoyed for the archers I went up on the ramparts and proceeded to kill them. There are several AA xp spots up top too so don't neglect this area.

But, yeah as you found out, even at level 70 they will kill you.
