Not if it isn't cost-effective.

The problem is you have to define who "we" are. They see "we" as 5% of total accounts. Need to make them see that number around 20-30% before i think they will invest in pleasing "we."

We might be 5% now, but look back at the last 2 and a half years and what percentage quit because this game is easy...If you took the percentage that they've lost through the years, I'd say its a tad more than 5%.

Not gonna happen, the hardcore raiding in MMOs these days is gone. Raiding in EQ2 is a joke and all ways will be because like someone all ready said, they won't spend the time and money for the select few idiots that play this game to raid. It will probably be about the size of EH and take no more then a few hours to clear.

If you ask me since EQ2 sales started plummeting around the time DoF came out it seems SOE is slowly trying to push the hardcore aspect out of this game completely to attract the solo casual crowd, they know what hardcore raiders want yet they ass rape them with smoke and mirrors of new exciting content that never delivers, and ends up just being copy/paste bull shit.

One thing I have learned is never get your hopes up in EQ2, because when it's all said and done you end up just being disappointed 99% of the time.

But hey, maybe they will do something right for once, but I doubt it.

But here's the thing. Dumbing this game down loses customers. Adding a raid zone would not make casuals quit, AND it would add new hardcores. Well, that's how I look at it.

Parallel zones with varying difficulties and varying loot tables would be an answer to the dev resource problem. One zone design, different tunings. T6 claimed to do it but I couldn't tell a damn bit of difference between the different versions of PP.

All the poet's were the same exact version. The only zone that did it, was splitpaw, and it was done by level scaling.

Difficulty levels in 99.999999999% of the games out there mean nothing. It's the same experience, no matter what level you have it set to.

My experience with difficulty levels has been different. For starters, the game designer has to actually implement a "harder" experience rather than just slap on a "harder" title.
