Anyway, as for wow you're retarded for saying SWG didn't have timesinks. The entire ID, Musician, Dancer professions were just 1 giant timesink that got you nowhere. SWG was a huge timesink, there was nothing really to do but create your own content.

Your arguement breaks down in the face of the overwhelming fact that ALL of those zones were completely explored over 2 years ago. There was not a single place I visited I had not already been too and back again on more than 1 character. It was nothing but a giant timesink.

Would it not be a giant time sink if you didn't know where the statues where and had to figure it out on your own?

I think I found about 10 or so of them on my own because they weren't listed. It wasn't all that hard for the majority of them, the hints were very obvious, and combined with the great cheating device of the Gnomish Diving Rod it was really easy to find them.

Here's the next nerf to the SoD questline... Be competent enough to zone into MMIS and you get your fabled reward, or even just find you way to the damn castle and it's yours. I just know it's coming...

OFC the DAY i get off of BoB on faxon and into HoF, they nerf it. and its not even worth doing on my monk (which is in poa) since the rewards for brawlers fucking suck (no i dont want 2 tank earings when my dps sucks enough as it is)

I didn't mention dancing or ID.. and yea those were lame as hell to level up. Recursive macros FTW! but musician was fun at least. And yes, you had to create your own content, but they gave you the tools to do so. This game doesnt have half of the social systems that game did. That is something severely lacking here. You could rent lotto bots, stages, scenery, games, create quests with your own npc's, a thousand social macros like /airguitar, but you didn't run out of things to do once you finished a quest, or got done slaughtering ewoks. I had a business going just training mounts to sell, when i wasn't rezing jedi. That is content, player made or not.

Whatever you chose to do though, you chose to do it... noone chooses to camp 5 hours for a single kill for one quest update. It's forced upon you by a flawed quest system that is now getting an upgrade.

That is a retarded statement.
Person A walks into a room, named is up. They move on.
Person B walks into a room, named is not up. Person B kills 10 placeholders and spends 2 and half hours to get the named.

This does not make the disticntion of who deserves fabled loot.

There are 20+ mobs to camp for the quest line, and if someone is just really unlucky with named spawns they can spend over 40 hours sitting around versus someone else who had the named all pop after 1 or 2 kills and gets done in 20. The reward ends up being just the same, even though someone was willing to spend double the time doing it.

IMO the quest should have just had about 8-10 camps, then I would agree that this change is unnecessary. But its just too close to the next tier to not take all camping out in order to make it more enjoyable to do when the reward wont be worth as much.

If they do add a lot of camping with ROK epics I really hope they can make a few changes:
-add in /gems or something entertaining to do, because camping sure isnt.
-If you have a quest for a named, have the mobs around it and the PH drop little items that can be used to spawn the named (like the Guurok on the isle) once you get like 6-10 of em and put em where the PH spawns you get the named. They can even take loot off the force-spawned one for all I care.
-cap on the number of times a PH can spawn w/out seeing the named (6-8)

Hey dumbfuck, you realize killing that named wont give you fabled gear rigth? It comes from a quest line. If you are not able or willing to spend some time camping named you may need throughout that questline you do not deserve the final reward. The odds of anyone walking into a room and having every named in those rooms up every single time for the whole questline is damn near impossible, it just wont happen.

The fact of the matter is, SOE is giving out fabled loot to people who seriously suck ass at raiding, wich is where fabled loot is supposed to come from. They are giving out, many times, the best items in the game just for a player hailing some mobs and killing a couple heroic named(well dont need named anymore). If you cant handle camping a few hours or so to get these amazing items, better than anything a majority of those people who complain the most about camps ever see's, they dont deserve the loot. Hell in my mind they dont anyways, but I was willing to meet people half way, but of course that isnt good enough for the "I want it handed to me" crowd.
