Claymore was the dumbest quest line ever IMO. Not because it was long but because of how they made it long.

I liked claymore cause of the lore and variety of zones you had to go through, it was pretty in depth. I can handle a long quest line if its well written and named camping in eq2 is nothing like it has been in other MMOs Ive played.

SoD didnt really have the lore content of an epic questline and it was rediculously easy. If all the quests were in at the same time it couldve been completed in a few days easy. For the reward you get from it thats bullshit imo. The DW reward is the best in its class from a quest that maybe took a solid days worth of effort.

I think if its an epic quest it should be epic all the way through, not heroic with an epic mob at the end. Maybe have some heroic content interspersed for storyline purposes, but mostly epic. At least claymore had some fairly decent rewards along the way, I immediately vendered all the SOD stuff and not because they sucked compared to my fabled gear, they just sucked period.

What are you talking about? 30ish quests, who cares, there are 30 quests where all I have to do is go from greystone yard to the harbor and hail someone, that doesnt mean shit.

3 instance raids? How do you figure? Ascent is easily done now with how they have nerfed it with 4 or 5 people (6 if your slow). Thats not a raid. Haragur was killed with 3 people months upon months ago and spawns every couple hours now so thats not a raid. Oh and the trash in DT is easily one groupable and that now gives updates, not to mention you can zone in after anyone has cleared the zone and get all your discovery updates.

Awesome, I can actually do this entire questline in one night now with less than a full group! Yeah its not handing fabled on a silver platter, that would take too long. Its just using a /claim function.

I doubt you're seeing many casual players using a mix of M1's and A3's and Labs gear ripping through those quests, 1 grouping Ascent, trioing Haraghur, and 1 grouping DT trash. That is the sort of player you're bitching about isn't it? Is your guild holding their hands through Labs and DT? I didn't think so. And if Labs and DT are easy now, so fucking what, its a KoS questline using KoS raid zones giving a KoS reward.

If highly skilled players that are mastered out and wearing EOF fabled are motivated enough to rip through those quests in one night, who really gives a shit? They've already put in the legwork by raiding more difficult zones, and getting better gear than just about anything in the Claymore questlines.

The people who this is going to be be easy for are those that already raid, and already have fabled gear. When you're among the top 5% skillwise, its easy to lose perspective how hard some of this shit is for the average player.

it was still pretty easy when Haraugher really did need a x2 raid and Tarinax was actually a challenge, back then we didnt have all fabled gear, mostly bits and pieces of Labs gear, which anyone can have at this point with the amount of Labs PURs. You dont need raid gear to do heroic content at all, just have to be somewhat competant, so someone could easily blow through those quests especially now. I soloed/duoed most of them that didnt require a raid way back when.

Problem was if you didnt have a set group of people working on it it took a helluva lot longer because you spent a lot of time trying to even get a group and then half that time putting up with stupid people or getting everyone on the same spot. Anyone could easily have done those quests in a few nights if they really were pushing for it.

If you had everything ready and could just go from place to place could maybe do it in a full day. Theres a lot of running around you have to do though which eats up time. The point is its so rediculously easy now compared to what it was that they might as well just save you the time and let you /claim it.

If good people could kill this stuff 15 months ago in relic gear from TRASH MOBS in labs and only about 25 aa's, there is no excuse for why people cant kill it now except they are terrible players and lazy, period.

THe fact is this is an epic questline and it should remain as such. Just because non raiders want fabled gear and epic rewards doesnt mean the game should be dumbed down to that level. That is how you end up with a shitty game. Maybe if SOE quit putting everything at the level of the average autistic child, there wouldnt be as many complaints.
