To get the rooms it has to be the equivilent of going through your epic quests. Bitches.

Re: New guild halls - more than just for noobs
A indoor pvp area with the pvp server rules and spell effects would be cool, kind of like in EQ when you walked into the little arena things. And I'm sure there is ways they could add more shit like little guild battle grounds ect.
Another cool idea would be a arena like Final Fantasy 10 has, maybe you could fight cloned raid mobs for practice, there would haft to be some kind of flag or something after you have attacked the mob before so you don't get the advantage of getting tactics down before you even get to it, no loot of course.

Change the arena, don't need guild halls for that.

You have practice in RoK, it's called persistent zones. Don't need guild halls for that.

Re: New guild halls - more than just for noobs
An obvious addition to these guild halls would be tradeskill stations, a broker, and a bank. Without those things (mainly the latter two) I see these things just becoming, literally, just another house, except for a whole guild, which is nothing to get hyped up about. But if they did add those features, wouldn't it mean the death of zones like Qeynos Harbor and East Freeport?
That's how it is in EQ1. Before guild halls, zones like PoK would be the center of the world. Now you can log in PoK and there might be 10 people in zone, because everyone is in their guild halls.

I do like the idea of having a room with PvP rules though. Sort of like the arena in EQ1 in the Bazaar when Shadows of Luclin was first released. Would be fun to play around with.

Your guild hall should be where you hang out though, at least imo.
Things I'd like to see.
Rooms with various portals to different places
Bank, Tradeskill, Broker
I would like a few dummies to just beat on. One that doesn't fight back, one that just does basic stuff.
Gambling goblin guy
Trophy room

Agreed the new town Kunark should be a neutral city exiles need a new home not to mention theres no gathering place like there us to be with DoF(aka the docks) I miss that going to one place and having tons of people dueling ect. Then make the city arenas (I guess on top of the current arenas) Open pvp area you walk into your flagged!!

Well that's a really stupid fucking way to look at it.
If you want to put it that way then there really is no point in a guild hall at all because it's going to be filled with things that are all ready in the game like bankers and brokers so they shouldn't put those in ether right? Because those are in every single zone.

Re: New guild halls - more than just for noobs
I like the ideal of training dummies, gives you something to try the new gear/spells order out on in a more controlled enviroment than killing greys/greens
I'd also like to see some sort statue room where you can make statues of members. So if someone retires you can make a statue of them as a reminder or make one as a reward/commeration of an event. But mainly cos I want my toon to be what everybody sees when they zone into our guildhall
