The only real thing that I've come up with is some sort of mini game you could play by yourself or with guild mates. Someone mentioned chess earlier, but I was thinking more along the lines of dwarf tossing competitions or even battlebots eq2 style. I know there's some bots in the gnomeland security area, but it'd be amusing to see that expanded upon.

definately needs to be a room where guildies can dominate each other in the card game and possibly host server tournaments!

Mages need a Laboratory swarming with books and vials of strange bubbling shit and artifacts laying around that do funky shit if you touch them. It's not a hideous place; it has all the fascination and visual appeal of the Tower of the Moon in Maj'Dul.

As a shameless Dragonlance ripoff, there would be a portal in one corner, anyone can go through it, but basically it serves the same function as a spire port.

The sage and alchemist crafting tables would be in this room, and the enticement to remain there is a LARGE volume, player-stocked, immediate storage cabinet of raws and fuels.

The practice dummy idea excels for the laboratory, and is something I always used to want; you click on an orb and tell it what monsters to summon. Or you attack the orb itself with everything you have. It takes the damage but does not decrease in health or respond. You do not gain xp or loot.

These would provide enough dead-time activity without isolating the players from one another. I don't know if I'd put a broker in a guild hall. Actually, I wouldn't.

On the wall of the guild hall is a large bulletin board of "lockout timers", only sorted in reverse: you click on the zone, and it tells you what members of the guild are free to enter it. This may become obsolete in time though.

Little trophies for each main epic you kill. They would be like little moving statues that would like wag its tail or sway its head, but I'm talking small still, like knee high on a normal sized char. Maybe the trophy room can have tables set up in rows and you could only put these statues on the tables and people would be able to look up and down at them, click the statue to find an engraving or w.e with the name of the mob and date killed i guess or w.e.

Room with minigame type things.. everyone plays minigames and shit outside of eq2.. why not add some easy coding into it for games inside eq2 for people to do before they raid.

/pizza.... duh.

gambling dudes cousins.. one in each instance. He has a big family.

10 rooms for people to own in guild .. maybe 15. they wouldn't have to pay rent.. but they would be assigned to certain people thru the guild leader. people could share these designated rooms too.

obv crafting room.

sometype of bind room.. maybe the main entrance room would work / call to GH would be needed too. maybe a shitty quest from someone whos selling gulldhalls to get the spell. you know.. to make it FUN YAY!

room that a guild can have up to 100 storage crates or w.e to sell shit in. limit 3 per char i guess or something like that. would have to be a big room

k back.. ummm. pretty much a place for a guild to actually want to be.

leave brokers out of it, just because i said so.
let guildies have a storage area that is able to be accessed by only them.. so they can put stuff up like a broker for free or cost or whatever they want to sell to guildies easier. so yea.. a broker that sells only guild stuff and such. with an option to put stuff up for free.

pvp room, big room, assuming you dont touch arena. hell.. maybe when you zone in to a GH.. you asked to be flagged for pvp.. if you say yes then its fair game in the whole place. would be fun.

a place to turn into an arena pet too.. so you can run around teh guild hall fighting each other as dreadknights and shit while someone else is sitting there crafting. that would be awesome as well.

yea.. when i thnk of more ill put it up.. i cant think of anything right now tho kbai.

I like the idea of one or maybe two guilds per server being able to occupy a public area and show off their leetness to the world. Points assigned by contested kills (and to a lesser extent instances)would have to be the way to do it, otherwise you'd have crafter guild out there with their 40 million status and 2k pp settin up shop.

You'd have to maintain your hold with an upkeep that couldn't be paid through instances alone. If you started losing out on contested, you'd be booted from the town square and be slapped back into an instance. Could have one in Freeport, and one in Qeynos. Would need to let people customize the exterior of the hall as well as the interior. I would make upgrades cost either cash or status of course. Would be a good money sink.

I think that only that guild hall would be able to have the arena thing, and that the owning party could host arena events of their choosing, would imply a little more interaction with the community on the part of the guild who get the privelege of the awesome hall.

I think a wonderful feature to go along with the "trophy" room would be an altar or a pedestal with revolving holographic-esque projections of the guild members. It'd be akin to what the player sees as their own paperdoll or in the dressing room, but done up all snazzy and for everyone to see.

give the guild a % of the take of anyone that plays using their gambler, and a percent of the pot if someone wins using theirs.

A very powerful guild should be able to purchase/build a warg track (like the piggies in Isle of Mara but , the entire track" and allow people to zone in and bet on the dogs, raking in 15% of the take.


My wildest wet dream, and I know this would never happen but..

If you get the world wide first kill of an expansions End mob (DMP, Tarinax etc) SOE would commission to have a cinematic movie, like the one you see before the game loads, depicting your battle. Down to the race/class/armor of your maintank etc you would get a very cool movie to watch re-enacting the battle or battle highlights. Maybe accentuate the killing blow or some such. This cinematic could be made viewable in one of the guild hall rooms if the guild chose and also downloadable for all the contributing members to keep forever.


That would be truly groundbreaking in an ever-so stale MMORG universe in my mind.
