I'd like to see a door (like on a residence house) that when clicked would pop a list of all guildies. You could enter their house/room from there. Maybe diff ones for diff alignments. Also when you leave their house, get the option to leave to guild hall if guildie, or outside to whatever zone they're in.

the more i think about this, i dont think that there will be much of any practical reason for there to even be guild halls. There has to be something that a guild realy needs/wants in a guild hall for it to even have an impact for them.

This is just going to be a place for you to put furniture and shit i think.

Just think about it. They cant give any real incentives for people who are really good b/c the shitty people bitch. The cant give any really good incentives to everyone b/c they know its not fair between guilds. So i only see them expanding on things that are already in game so basically they just wasted a lot of time making a very big house for people to put furniture.

Lets take a bunch of these suggestions.
Cheaper Mender-Everyone would get it so just make it a status item and put in in your room. Just saved lots of time
Guild Bank for Hall- just change the normal guild bank. just saved lots of time.
Trohpy Room-The point of a trophy room is to show it off. Seriously whos going to go into random newb ass guild #1 guild hall to check out trophies.
Ports - we already have ports that can be put in your in room. Just saved lots of time.

I dunno the more i think of it the more it just seems like a wasted novelty idea that really isnt going to affect the enjoyment of most peoples gaming experience. I also feel this will further spliter the community by pushing them into instances now when they arent raiding. The only time i ever get to interact with other people is screwing around in Q-Harbor but now they are all in their hall.

I know this is already set in stone and im not trying to stop it. But I have a few suggestions about the overall idea together and not just pertaining to the guild hall instances themselves.

Ok, imagine something like the estate of unrest. you have this enclosed courtyard area. in this area and inside the building (as in not in your guild hall instance) is where i would put a lot of the "community type events" things such as the card games, betting events, ACCESS TO THE ARENA, brokers, crafting stations.

Basically this should be an outdoor central hub of community and commerce. Put everything here someone would need. I really think this would be great for player interaction outside of the actual game combat scene. The guild hall itself for all intents and purposes should just be like any other house.

Also, i would be down for server quests that affect some of these central hubs almost like live events. If you want your menders to be cheaper, crafters have to complete a bunch of special quests and the final crafter item comes from an extremely diffcult raid mob by a bunch of ingredients that have to be farmed by the casual base. This would be something that might take months to complete that no one person or guild could claim. It would truly be a server accomplishment.

I rambled on but there u go.

It'd be cool if you had to progressively unlock stuff, Widem bringing up Unrest made me think of it. First you just can't get in the door, then certain areas are closed off, etc. Though obviously the unlocking of areas wouldn't be through a puzzle-instance-thing but through however they plan on doing it.

Of course, they're gonna more than likely do something like Guild Wars where you just pay a merchant for upgrades.

oh, and go ahead and make the entrance to these guild halls slightly out in the water in QH and EFP. At the very least, put it near a griffon tower in a zone. My character is tired of running all over. He's got korns the size of lemons on his feet! Just go ahead and finally use that castle thingy in QH or wherever that is.
