I do have to hand it to them however. From a marketing standpoint, only letting a small percentage of people in is a perfect strategy. They know just as well as we do that a LOT is riding on the shoulders of this expansion to determine the game's success. If they let a lot of people into beta, and it sucked, they'll quit before the expansion releases. By only letting a few people into beta, everyone is going to have to at least buy the expansion before deciding it sucks enough to quit. Essentially, that tells me that they know that it's not going to meet the hype/expectations, and just want another couple hundred thousand dollars in profit before 1/3 of the population quits.

I will never understand how someone can be so cynnical when they arent even one of the people who have been at the pushing edge and completely bored out of their skull with nothing to do for most of their time in game.
