EoF Contested... ?

Has there been any word on the total number yet? I haven't had much of a chance to reall get into the previews and the only thing I've really read on it was that there will be an outdoor raid instance... so just wonderin'.... ;)

if that is the only T7 contested that would suck, i can't handle spending a majority of the next 6+ months in instances every day. if there are 6+ X4 contesteds (have heard 15 T7 and 15 for all tiers) i would be happy i just hate knowing that there won't be a contested up for 2-3 days like now it is just depressing. that and better itemization are my two big hopes for this expansion

That is correct, the Devs announced that most or the items/unique mobs art WILL change to provide a more unique accent to the expansion. They do it to still have some suprises after BETA is over.

Clearly I was being sarcastic, but I wouldn't put it past SoE to fuck something like that up.

I do have to hand it to them however. From a marketing standpoint, only letting a small percentage of people in is a perfect strategy. They know just as well as we do that a LOT is riding on the shoulders of this expansion to determine the game's success. If they let a lot of people into beta, and it sucked, they'll quit before the expansion releases. By only letting a few people into beta, everyone is going to have to at least buy the expansion before deciding it sucks enough to quit. Essentially, that tells me that they know that it's not going to meet the hype/expectations, and just want another couple hundred thousand dollars in profit before 1/3 of the population quits.
