Worst idea ever its good to know im buying a xpack with 60% of the content obsolete. Who raids crap lower tiers anyway ? Watch the t7 contested be a joke just like hurricanus. Everything i hear about this xpack is depressing from aa to the diety system. Whats next new and improved relic trash runs ? More T7 content, namely T7.2, is all they should fucking worry about in the ways of raiding. Oh sure, you can get some sweet shit for your alts if there were lower level raids you could do (which there are, over two dozen), but that shit will grow old and gray. Now if you put it as T7.2 shit, then you have not only a higher value on the items, but a higher value on the experience and a more rewarding feeling on the content. If you get it to the point where theres more than one contested up at a time, it forces more guilds to go "Uh, what's more important to us?" and then there's a window for these kids bitching "we can't get contesteds, it's not fair" to have some chances at wiping before the big boys come in and down them. At the end, everybody is 70. Nobody's game is over at 40 or 50 or 60, why put raid shit in for those tiers then? If anything, level up some of the old, unused raid zones and contesteds so not only do people VISIT old useless zones like lavastorm, everfrost, feerrott, but they have something to do in them as well. Do people still do arch-lich, meeting of the minds, drayek and zalak? Put the leveling zones and instances in for the kids that wanna do 1-70, because that will keep them in the game. Put the raids in the game for us raiders, because that will keep US in the game. Anybody that bitches about needing more pre-T7 content, especially after this expansion, need to fucking stop using forums and start leveling.

You know what would be a smart idea,

Instead of soe just randomly creating raid and contested mobs for certain zones tiers etc it could actually use the data its servers compile to run a detailed check of what mobs in what tiers have been killed serverwide.

There are probably at least 10 guilds on each server clearing most of the tier 7 zones atm so for tier 1 to 7 to even possibly have the same amount of raid content is proposterous. I'm sure if they ran a check on whats being killed lvl to lvl there would only be a tiny bit of t6 raid content but the rest would be all t7.

Another thing to consider is the average lvl of the server population isnt it like 45 across the board now? If so taking into account most people have low level toons this would prolly be closer to 50 and once again soe has access to this.

Basically my point is from an analytical point of view SOE has all the evidence it needs to determine what content to put into the game and frankly there should be bugger all lower than 50 but since they already set out the stall to attract new players thay are going to have to create content 1-70.

It actually pisses me off that my subscription is being used to pave a new zone for new players to level, did i get a say in what i wanted? Of course not!! Throw them onto noobie isle like everyone else.

If they fuck this up its the end for a hell of a lot of people and if it fails more fool them because they are fucking retard to keep making these schoolboy errors when they have such a wealth of information.

Well said man, I can see how some would want to use current t6 content to help gear up people a little more, in a new or a guild who cannot take on all or most of t7 currently, but creating new zones in a new expansion for this very small minority is insane, and will piss many off...

As all of you I have been hoping EoF will be the savior for eq2, but in the back of my mind I always expected to be bent over and screwed, like usual (when it comes to eq2)...

A 55x4 would actually be a tier 5 contested which would be even more pathetic than adding tier 6.

I have seen some decent t6 fableds linked in various WW channels, with nice effects or nice mit compared to even t7 legendary...

I have an alt for every ten levels. If EoF has a bunch of lower tier raid mobs, I guarantee you I'll be mentoring down and one group farming that content for my alts and for profit every week.

If they really made lower tier CONTESTED mobs for EoF, lemme ask everyone a simple question:

Does anyone actually believe that level appropriate players will EVER get a chance at those lower tier contested? Or will they just be farmed when they pop by higher level players mentoring down?

The answer is easy - I doubt any actual level approriate raid will get any of those new lower tier contested epic mobs even one time, during the entire life of the expansion.

This idea is HORRIBLE. Whoever decided to put in lower tier epic encounters in a new expansion should consider playing EQ2 and seeing how real players actually play the game.
